7.3.4 How does the <strong>in</strong>stitution elicit the cooperation from all stakeholders to ensure<br />

overall development of the students consider<strong>in</strong>g the curricular and co - curricular<br />

activities, research, community orientation the personal/ spiritual development of<br />

the students?<br />

Ans:- The cooperation is obta<strong>in</strong>ed <strong>in</strong> various ways. Some are <strong>in</strong>vited for guest<br />

lectures, others to conduct musical programmes, others to conduct retreats<br />

for self reflection, others to conduct discussion with students, other to talk<br />

about their experience etc.<br />

7.3.5 How does the University anticipate public concerns with current and future<br />

programme offer<strong>in</strong>gs and operations?<br />

Ans:- When there is demand <strong>in</strong> the society (market) for certa<strong>in</strong> jobs, the University<br />

<strong>in</strong>troduces new courses, <strong>in</strong>creases the number of seats, provides new tools<br />

through agricultural eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g for the benefit of farmers, provides more<br />

school teachers <strong>in</strong> a country where 7 lakh teachers will be required <strong>in</strong> the next<br />

three years etc.<br />

7.3.6 How does the <strong>in</strong>stitution promote social responsibilities and citizenship roles among<br />

the students? Does it have any exclusive program for the same?<br />

Ans:- The House of Representative is an exclusive programme that promotes civic<br />

sense and citizenship roles <strong>in</strong> general, besides special activities of the<br />

various associations function<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> the university such as NSS, NCC etc.<br />

7.3.7 What are the <strong>in</strong>stitutional efforts to br<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> community-orientation <strong>in</strong> its activities?<br />

Ans:- There is an <strong>in</strong>built community orientation <strong>in</strong> the University. Its agents are<br />

Department of Extension, Non-formal and Cont<strong>in</strong>u<strong>in</strong>g Education with the<br />

status of School, NCC/NSS etc.<br />

7.3.8 How does the <strong>in</strong>stitution actively support and strengthen the neighbourhood<br />

communities? How does the University identify community needs and determ<strong>in</strong>e<br />

areas of emphasis for organizational <strong>in</strong>volvement and support? How do the<br />

faculty and students contribute <strong>in</strong> these activities?<br />

Ans:- The University supports the neighbourhood communities through extension<br />

activities. Chiefly our School for Non formal and Cont<strong>in</strong>u<strong>in</strong>g Education deals<br />

with this constituency.<br />

7.3.9 Describe how the <strong>in</strong>stitution determ<strong>in</strong>es student satisfaction, relative to academic<br />

benchmarks? Does the <strong>in</strong>stitution update the approach <strong>in</strong> view of the current and<br />

future <strong>edu</strong>cational needs and challenges?<br />
