are highly awaited events. Skumsrud<br />

Heritage Farm is owned and operated<br />

by Norskedalen, and is located 1/2 mile<br />

west <strong>of</strong> Coon Valley on Highway 14/61.<br />

This is an open air museum with 11<br />

historic buildings and is on the National<br />

Register <strong>of</strong> Historic Places, open<br />

Memorial Day through Labor Day.<br />

Viroqua<br />

Viroqua is a MAIN STREET CITY,<br />

featured in the Wall Street Journal,<br />

CBS evening news, Smithsonian<br />

Magazine, and Readers Digest. Located<br />

on Highway 14/61 at the junctions <strong>of</strong><br />

Highways 56, 82 and 27, Viroqua is a<br />

Main Street Station is a true public market, housed in a lovingly rehabbed<br />

historic building featuring local hand-made treasures, the bounty <strong>of</strong> area farms,<br />

special events and much, much more. The main market hall replicates an oldworld<br />

town square - with a fountain and old maple tree at the center. It is a great<br />

brochures and information on walking tours <strong>of</strong> Viroqua, Historic Black Hawk Trail,<br />

County Museum, the former County Normal School; Sherry-Butt House, home <strong>of</strong><br />

Civil War Colonel Butt and later Orbec and Hilda Sherry; and Country School and<br />

in the U.S. House <strong>of</strong> Representatives after the Civil War (1871-77) and was<br />
