6.2.2 Update Routine: IBM AIX, Linux and Oracle Solaris/SUN<br />
Solaris<br />
The following description applies to an update from an <strong>iQ</strong>.<strong>Suite</strong> Version ≥ 13.0 to<br />
a higher Version. Please note that as of <strong>iQ</strong>.<strong>Suite</strong> Version 13.1, the files are no longer<br />
installed in the Domino server directory, that program files and databases can<br />
be stored in different directories and that installation can no longer be performed<br />

Updating<br />

an <strong>iQ</strong>.<strong>Suite</strong> Version < 13.0 to a Version ≥ 13.0 is only possible by uninstalling<br />
the existing version and then installing the new version. In this case, save<br />
your configuration databases before uninstalling the software.<br />
1. Prepare the update. Refer to Preparing the Update on page 47.<br />
2. Log on as Domino user and install the desired <strong>iQ</strong>.<strong>Suite</strong> version. Refer to <strong>Installation</strong><br />
Under IBM AIX, Linux and Oracle Solaris/SUN Solaris on page 24.<br />

you are using the <strong>iQ</strong>.<strong>Suite</strong> Bridge module, you may have to make a few manual<br />
adjustments.<br />
Example: A Bridge job is configured to use the %DataDirABS%\bridge directory.<br />
The %DataDirABS% placeholder refers to the (original) Domino data directory<br />
/home/domino/notesdata/grptools.<br />
As described above, the /home/domino/notesdata/grptools/bridge<br />
directory was moved to the <strong>iQ</strong>.<strong>Suite</strong> program directory /home/domino/iqsuite/bridge,<br />
rather than to the <strong>iQ</strong>.<strong>Suite</strong> data directory /home/domino/notesdata/iqsuite/bridge.<br />
In such a situation, either move the subdirectory ../bridge to the <strong>iQ</strong>.<strong>Suite</strong> data<br />
directory, or replace the variable %DataDirABS% with %ExecDir% in the configuration.<br />
