AQUATICS • Recreational Swimming www.stcatharines.ca AQUATICS 18 Aqua Turbo Boot Camp Are you up for the challenge of trying Aqua Turbo Boot Camp This moderate to high intensity workout will put you through the paces of a fun and interactive water workout. This progressive program allows the beginner to advanced participants to set their own personal fitness goals while working to achieve their personal bests. Totally Tethered Enhance your cross training program by strapping on a floatation belt and being tethered. This invigorating class will challenge your cardiovascular workout and enhance your stamina and strength. Must be able to swim 25 metres and be comfortable in deep water. Use Your Noodle Enjoy the warm water in the Leisure Pool as you get a gentle full body workout with pool noodles. Improve your posture, stretch your muscles, develop muscular strength and work your cardiovascular system through a variety of exercises while utilizing pool noodles! Therapeutic Aquatics This program takes place in the Leisure Pool. Exercises will focus on improving daily functioning and mobility. Improve your posture, stretch your muscles, develop muscular strength and work your cardiovascular system through a variety of exercises. “Oh My Aching Body” Arthritis Workout Recommended for people with arthritis, fibromyalgia, osteoporosis and related conditions and need to exercise in warm water. Surround yourself with the warm water in the Leisure Pool and do gentle stretches and functional exercises. Breathing and relaxation will be incorporated into the class. Remember • Camera cell phones, and cameras are not permitted in the washroom or change rooms. • Please leave all valuables at home. The City of St. Catharines is not responsible for lost or stolen articles. • Lost articles will be retained for 2 weeks. Jewellery will be held for one year. • Children under 3 years of age are admitted free to leisure swims, however, they must be accompanied by a paying adult (not an older brother or sister). • Infants must wear plastic pants or swim diapers underneath their bathing suits. No diapers please. • Children 8 years and older must change in appropriate change rooms where a family change room is not available. • Pool facilities may close due to maintenance, thunder, lightning or pool foulings. • Waterwings, bubbles and floatation devices are permitted only when the child has direct adult supervision in the water with him/her. • Lockers are available. Locks must be removed nightly. Those not removed will be cut off. • All swims are supervised by our highly trained and qualified lifeguard teams. • The City of St. Catharines reserves the right to cancel any swim in order to accommodate special events or courses.

Masters Plunge provides the energetic swimmer an extra day of training to extend your workouts to six days per week.
