AQUATICS • Instructional Swimming
Swim Kids Level 4 (5 to 12 years)
In this class for children (5 to 12 years) participants learn back swim with
shoulder roll and front crawl 10 m, work on flutter kick on back, and
perform kneeling dives. Participants work on surface support (45
seconds, deep water) and develop a greater sense of self safety by
understanding their own limits. Endurance is built through a 25 m swim.
Swim Kids Level 4 uses continuous evaluation for participants to progress.

Swim Kids Level 4-5 (5 to 12 years)
In this class for children (5 to 12 years) participants will benefit from
both the Swim Kids Level 4 and Level 5 curriculum. Participants
continue to work on their front crawl 10m with shoulder roll, flutter
kick on back, and perform kneeling dives. Participants work on surface
support (45 seconds, deep water) and develop a greater sense of self
safety by understanding their own limits. Endurance is built through a
25 m swim. Head first-sculling is introduced. Emphasis is on water
safety skills including how to be a safe boater, cold water survival,
stride entries and treading water for 1 minute. Swim Kids Level 4 & 5
uses continuous evaluation for participants to progress. A multi level
teaching method is utilized.

15 m, learn back crawl 15 m and whip kick on back. Emphasis in on
water safety skills including how to be a safe boater, cold water
survival, stride entries and treading water for 1 minute. Endurance is
developed through flutter kick 25 m and a distance swim of 50 m.
Swim Kids Level 5 uses continuous evaluation for participants to
progress.
