Wednesday Morning Ladies Club †<br />

(18 years & over)<br />

In this program for mature women (18 years & over) participants will<br />

enjoy a 30 minute gentle exercise program led by a qualified instructor<br />

with no music to distract, and two sets <strong>of</strong> 15 minutes for swimming<br />

lengths at the beginning and end <strong>of</strong> the class. Social activities outside<br />

<strong>of</strong> the water class are planned several times throughout the year.<br />

Wittle Water Works for Parent and Tot †<br />

(18 years & over)<br />

In this program for adults (18 years & over) and children (6 months to<br />

24 months), participants will enjoy participating in an Aquafit class<br />

with your little one right beside you! The water work out encourages<br />

weight loss, toning, and revitalizing your energy level. The adult<br />

participates in a 45 minute aquafit class then the children will enjoy a<br />

15 minute session where material from the Red Cross Swim PreSchool<br />

program is taught. Children must have good control <strong>of</strong> their head and<br />

neck and be able to sit up with little or no assistance. Floatation seats<br />

are provided for the children and the adult is within an arm’s reach<br />

during all exercises. This class is held in the lane pool.<br />

VOLUNTEERS<br />

Assistant Instructors Needed<br />

You must love the water and enjoy working with children <strong>of</strong> all ages! Volunteers are needed<br />

to assist with the Red Cross Learn to Swim Program. You must be 13 years <strong>of</strong> age with<br />

the Bronze Medallion Award or over 18 with a love <strong>of</strong> the water and children. If you are<br />

interested in helping out, contact the Recreation Coordinator, at 905 688-5601 ext. 1958.<br />
