STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- If it's family fun you seek on what forecasters promise to be a sun-splashed<br />

Saturday, <strong>the</strong>n <strong>the</strong>re's no reason for you to leave Staten Island today.<br />

There's plenty to choose from, <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g a free fireworks show, one of <strong>the</strong> borough's most famous barbecues<br />

and a dog competition.<br />

The borough president's annual "Back to <strong>the</strong> Beach" free summer celebration returns to Midland Beach's<br />

Sea Turtle Circle, from noon to 9 p.m. and will feature vendors, games, music and fireworks.<br />

Noon-9 p.m.: Vendors, games & more<br />

2 p.m.: Ollie's Puppets (children's show)<br />

3:30 p.m.: Tuesday at Eight<br />

5 p.m.: Afterglow<br />

6:30 p.m.: Fireflies<br />

8 p.m.: Neil & <strong>the</strong> Diamonds (tribute to Neil Diamond)<br />

9 p.m.: Fireworks<br />
