Two Staten Island community boards re-elect executive officers<br />

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Two community boards have re-elected <strong>the</strong>ir slate of executive officers.<br />
Frank Morano was re-elected chairman of Community Board 3 dur<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> full board meet<strong>in</strong>g on June 22 <strong>in</strong><br />
<strong>the</strong> CYO/MIV Center, Pleasant Pla<strong>in</strong>s. Also, Leticia Remauro was re-elected chairwoman dur<strong>in</strong>g Community<br />
Board's 1 full board meet<strong>in</strong>g earlier this month.<br />

Morano has been a member of Board 3 s<strong>in</strong>ce 1987. He was elected <strong>the</strong> first vice chairman <strong>in</strong> 1991 and<br />
chairman <strong>in</strong> 2008.<br />
A retired New York City school teacher, Morano taught for 32 years at Markham Intermediate School,<br />
Graniteville, and also at <strong>the</strong> College of Staten Island, Willowbrook. He holds a degree <strong>in</strong> aerospace<br />
eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g and worked on <strong>the</strong> F14 fighter plane.<br />
He is president of <strong>the</strong> Elt<strong>in</strong>gville Civic Association.<br />
Morano also has served as a coach and director of <strong>the</strong> Great Kills Little League. He is a lector at Holy Child<br />
R.C. Church, Elt<strong>in</strong>gville, and has worked with <strong>the</strong> Marriage Encounter and Engagement Days groups.<br />
