The professional bachelor training in Family Sciences offers<br />

courses to 900 students who are prepared to work in the broad<br />

field of welfare work with families. As part of this practical training<br />

students of the traject 'without life-and/or workexperience' need<br />

to participate in 850 hours 'learning at the workplace' in the<br />

second phase of the curriculum. These 850hours must be taken in<br />

an enterprise of Social Economy. So students are experiencing the<br />

complexity of people in need of special help to find their way into<br />

the labourmarket. Together with the umbrella-organisation for<br />

Social Economy VOSEC, we develop a path of work-based learning<br />

in which the orientation to work of the enterprise and the<br />

orientation to the family-context of the employees is brought<br />

together.<br />

aims: by getting in touch with different organisations working in<br />

Social Economy in Europe: -discussing the importance of<br />

sustaining the network of the employees in social economy<br />

(especially their familynetwork)to have more commitment to the<br />

job and to reach more personal fulfillment -preparing for a joint<br />

proposal of a multilateral project (Development of innovation) on<br />

how to maximize the commitment to the enterprise and to find<br />

ways of integrating the employees in society by focusing on the<br />

(family-)network of the employees -beneficiants of the project<br />

would be: targetgroup of the social economy enterprises, tutors in<br />

the enterprises, students in the traininginstitutes preparing for<br />

jobs in which they will coach employees in social economy,<br />

umbrella-organisations for social economy When we think of the<br />

huge need of employment in the social sector in the next decades,<br />

this project can sustain a lot of persons to find their way in<br />

relevant jobs in social economy. *ideas of cooperation:<br />

projectpartners could be: umbrella-organizations as to Social<br />

Economy together with enterprises which have a (more or less)<br />

explicit focus on family-themes (for instance: child-care for people<br />

confronted with poverty or for immigrants) and/or having<br />

employees who themselves are confronted with poverty or other<br />

social problems. *Link with activity of our organisation: the<br />

project will give inspiration as to the further development of the
