The professional bachelor training in Family Sciences offers
courses to 900 students who are prepared to work in the broad
field of welfare work with families. As part of this practical training
students of the traject 'without life-and/or workexperience' need
to participate in 850 hours 'learning at the workplace' in the
second phase of the curriculum. These 850hours must be taken in
an enterprise of Social Economy. So students are experiencing the
complexity of people in need of special help to find their way into
the labourmarket. Together with the umbrella-organisation for
Social Economy VOSEC, we develop a path of work-based learning
in which the orientation to work of the enterprise and the
orientation to the family-context of the employees is brought
together.
aims: by getting in touch with different organisations working in
Social Economy in Europe: -discussing the importance of
sustaining the network of the employees in social economy
(especially their familynetwork)to have more commitment to the
job and to reach more personal fulfillment -preparing for a joint
proposal of a multilateral project (Development of innovation) on
how to maximize the commitment to the enterprise and to find
ways of integrating the employees in society by focusing on the
(family-)network of the employees -beneficiants of the project
would be: targetgroup of the social economy enterprises, tutors in
the enterprises, students in the traininginstitutes preparing for
jobs in which they will coach employees in social economy,
umbrella-organisations for social economy When we think of the
huge need of employment in the social sector in the next decades,
this project can sustain a lot of persons to find their way in
relevant jobs in social economy. *ideas of cooperation:
projectpartners could be: umbrella-organizations as to Social
Economy together with enterprises which have a (more or less)
explicit focus on family-themes (for instance: child-care for people
confronted with poverty or for immigrants) and/or having
employees who themselves are confronted with poverty or other
