The Foundation stimulates local and regional development and the main reason for its creation was the need to enhance government capacity and to foster citizen involvement in decision making and local governance.We are active especially in Transylvania, but we are also developing national and transnational projects. The programs and projects developed by the organization can be classified into three major areas: Local and regional development, Civil Society development and Human resources development. The Foundation is currently involved in social economy based projects and in adult training in the fields of project management and entrepreneurship. One of the projects that I am working at had a research component on the Mechanisms of the Social Economy. This activity draw my attention on the strong connection between human resource development and building a durable social and economical environment via social enterprises. After discussions within the Foundation, taking into consideration our objectives, we decided to support the community based social economy model. In practice this means supporting the economic activities that create jobs and turn into advantage the local particularities of the remote rural areas (natural advantages). This undertaking is strictly based on two pillars: developing human resources mainly by training programs and supporting the development of functional social enterprises. By participating at a Leonardo da Vinci contact seminar on the topic of social economy our goal is to find partners active in supporting and training for people from rural areas. (Unemployed, unskilled laborers, young people looking for a workplace). The project that we envisage will be on training methods for future social entrepreneurs and exchange of practices concerning the development of human resources in social enterprises from rural areas.

Our college has technical and ICT qualifications – mechatronics, computer aided design, automatics, electronics, car mechanic, tinker-dyer, transport and around 70 teachers , 1000 students( day courses, evening courses and postgraduated courses), 30 administrative staff. As a teacher in a big highschool with a lot of students and teachers, I thought that a Leonardo da Vinci School Partnership( with 24 mobilities) would be necessary because of our diversity of: qualifications, cultures, traditions, religions. The theme of the seminar offers our school new opportunities to share ideas,contact project partners and receive advice about the way social economy project ideas will become good quality applications for funding.We want to meet people from European Union that implemented social economy concepts and find out useful tools for creating social strategies. Integration of skills needs of the labour market into VET is the main theme of the project and we intend to develop social economy models and strategies that could improve the quality of personal and community life for our students in order to identify and solve their social and economic needs. An important aim is to create skills and competencies for vulnerable students,help them actively participate within the social and community enterprises. I am also interested in finding out how social economy was developed in Flanders and the relationships between students, teachers, economic agents, local community and administration. I have a lot of ideas and I would be glad if more partcipants were interested in our Leonardo da Vinci partnership.
