PROJECT IDEAS
Palermo
ComeUnaMarea was born in Palermo to give value and spread the
cultural, naturalistic, archaeological, historic, artistic and
anthropological heritage of the Sicilian territory, giving great
importance to the oral history, expressions, performing arts, social
and ritual practices, knowledge of the traditional works. It pursues
just goals of social utility. Its activity involves subjects with no
social, ethnic or cultural difference. It pays particular attention to
disadvantaged people as old persons, young people at risk of
social exclusion and women. It realizes its own activities
collaborating with public and private institutions. ComeUnaMarea,
member of the Anna Lindh Foundation
To make a partnership concerned in anthropological matters and
linked with European culture. We want to get on an European
intercultural lab to facilitate learning through a structured
programme of cultural activities To enhance the self-esteem,
social confidence and future social prospects of all our
participants, by offering them formal and informal learning To
help them celebrate their own experience and the diversity of
others’. To create a dynamic within an Ldv project where
educationally and socially disadvantaged older learners will
gradually be able to ‘lead’ and even direct the work and its
outcomes, with younger people acting as their ‘helpers’. The
activities our organisation would like to develop in the new project
are: meeting with partners, exchange of experiences through ICT,
production of typical products linked to the project, performances,
exhibitions.
