We are 103 teachers and there are 1200-1300 students. We have different levels of Education: Compulsory Secondary Education (students between 12-16 years old), Baccalaureate (16-18 years old) and Vocational Training Education in two level (medium and high) and two sectors Health and Electricity-Electronics. Our school is involved in a project (Programa de Secciones Europeas) in which some of the subjects are taught in English. The school has been taking part in exchange activities with France, Germany and United Kingdom through the British Council-MEC and Comenius programmes for several years. More than 100 students per year take part in this experience. Our school has had The Erasmus Charter for 2 years ago and from 2009 to 2013. Last 2 years we had this experience with 10 students in a Hospital in Hamburg, Germany (Technician in Diagnosis for Image) and one in a Canteen in a Primary School in Wiesbadem, Germany (Dietitian) and we are very pleased with the results of this program. This year we would like to improve our project and increase the number and the time of the student’s mobility in other European countries and to extend this experience to the Leonardo da Vinci Program. Our school awards the following Vocational Training Education Degrees: In the Health Department (Nursing care Assistant and Pharmacy Assistant, Dietitian and Technician in Diagnosis for Image) In the Electricity & Electronics Department (Telecommunications facilities accountant, Technician in automatic electrics installations, Technician in Electronic Product Development and Technician in Telecommunications and Computer Systems). Since we are aware of the enrichment of these actions, and improvements in academic performance due to the benefits of international mobility. Both teachers and students at Vocational Training Education are interested in taking part in Erasmus and Leonardo da Vinci mobility projects. We are aware of the professional and personal advantages which work placements abroad might imply. The students are required to do a period of practice/training in work places. They have the option to do it for a period, at least, of 2 months in different types of companies in Europe.
