This Report presents a panorama of the main accomplishments of Itaú Unibanco Holding S.A. in 2009, the first year after the merger between Itaú and Unibanco. The year was notable for its expectations and major challenges, many of which have now been overcome thanks to the performance and hard work of all the Bank’s teams, who share our Vision of being a leader in sustainable performance and customer satisfaction. Reading Guide Unibanco Holding S.A. regularly reports to the general public on its financial, social and environmental performance and future projections. To give our stakeholders clear and easy access to the information they want, we have divided this Report into publications tailored for specific groups (see diagram on opposite page). The traditional printed Report is designed for a select group consisting of shareholders, investors, analysts, governments and customers, and provides the most material information about our operations. The magazine version is widely distributed and includes testimonials from customers, employees and other stakeholders to demonstrate the impact of our activities on people’s lives. The Audiobook is an aural program whose content is similar to that of the magazine, and was made specifically for the visually impaired. These three communication platforms are present in the Online Report, which brings together all the information in the 2009 Itaú Unibanco S.A. Annual Sustainability Report. The icons below accompany the text and are used to draw our readers’ attention to the relationship between the information presented and Itaú’s priority Essence of Sustainability themes.
