Foundation, research grant of Rs. 10 lakhs was awarded for the project, 2004-<br />
<strong>2006</strong>.<br />
• The Changing Oceanic Landscape in the Indian Ocean Region: Issues and<br />
Perspectives of Debate: Project commissioned by the Centre of Security Analysis<br />
to Dr. W. Lawrence S. Prabhakar, Department of Political Science and sponsored<br />
by the Hanns-Seidal Foundation, Munich, Germany, December <strong>2006</strong>.<br />
• A Study on the Impact of Women’s Employment of Household in Chennai City: A<br />
minor research project granted to the Department of Economics by Malcolm<br />
Elizabeth Adhiseshiah Trust, Chennai.<br />
• Contribution of <strong>Madras</strong> <strong>Christian</strong> <strong>College</strong> to Higher Education: Dr. K. Joshua,<br />
Department of Philosophy, along with Dr. T. Ambrose Jeyasekaran, funded by the<br />
United Board for <strong>Christian</strong> Higher Education in Asia, research grant of $ 6000 was<br />
awarded for the project, <strong>2006</strong>-2008.<br />
• An Economic Evaluation of Environment Degradation (with reference to select<br />
water resources in Kancheepuram District): Dr. Charles Suresh David, Department<br />
of Commerce, Sponsored by UGC, research grant of Rs. 20,000 was awarded for<br />
the project, <strong>2006</strong>.<br />
• Healthy District Project: Project led by Miriam Samuel, Prince Annadurai and<br />
Prince Solomon, Department of Social Work and sponsored by Myers Foundation,<br />
Australia in collaboration with University of South Australia and Flinders<br />
University, Australia. A research grant of Rs. 2 lakhs was awarded for the project,<br />
<strong>2006</strong>-2008.<br />
• Hyper-edge Replacements Graph Grammars: Principal investigator, Dr. N.<br />
Gnanamalar David and Co-investigator, Dr. Gnanaraj Thomas; Department of<br />
Mathematics; research grant of Rs. 55,000 was awarded for the project, <strong>2006</strong>-<br />
