visa info h Required for UK passport holders in advance from
embassy or can be purchased on arrival, currently £30 for adults
and children. We recommend purchasing prior to travel as queues
at the airport can be long.
climate h Warm all year round as Kenya spans the equator. It
can be cold in the early morning and at night on safari, so warm
clothing is needed. January to March is generally dry, and there
are two rainy seasons from April to June and the short rains from
October to December. Rainfall is often heavy but not prolonged
and usually falls in the afternoon and evenings. The hottest
months are February to March and coldest July to August. Seaweed
is evident on Malindi beach during April to June.
