was gibt es 2011 Neues?
Wir haben erstmals das Angebot zum Thema Floristenbedarf auf Halle 9.0
ausgedehnt. Damit können Einkäufer jetzt auch in einem Großteil dieser
Halle Seidenblumen, Pflanzgefäße, Schalen und Deko­Accessoires ordern.
Neu ist hier auch ein integrierter Marktplatz, bei dem Produkte von belgischen
Ausstellern im Mittelpunkt stehen. Für frischen Wind sorgt in Halle
9.0 außerdem ein Newcomer­Areal, auf dem junge Unternehmen innovative
Deko­Produkte vorstellen.

Ein Besuch der Trendschau in der Galleria 1 gehört auf jeden Fall zum
Pflichtprogramm. Hier erfahren Händler, welche Themen die neue Festsaison

Ton angeben. Somit erhalten Einkäufer ganz konkrete Anregungen für die
Sortimentsgestaltung.
wo erhalten Besucher darüber hinaus neue ideen?
Wir haben uns dieses Mal für eine Sonderschau entschieden, die den
erweiterten Bereich Floristenbedarf perfekt ergänzt: Besucher erwartet in
Halle 9.0 eine spektakuläre Hochzeitsinszenierung zu Weihnachten. Darin
sind zum ersten Mal frische Chrysanthemen integriert. In Kombination mit
Weihnachtskugeln und Seidenblumen dürfen Besucher auf eine außergewöhnliche
Präsentation mit vielen Überraschungen gespannt sein.

every year, consumers love to see new interpretations of
traditional festivals. the trends that are set to dominate
the coming decorative season are shown by around 1,000
exhibitors from all over the world at christmasworld.
top FAir spoke with Jutta Baumann, director of the
leading international trade fair for festive decorations.
what will be new in 2011?
For the first time, we have expanded the range of florists’ requisites into
Hall 9.0. This means that buyers can now order silk flowers, planters,
bowls and decorative accessories in a large part of this exhibition hall.
There is also a new integrated market place spotlighting products from
Belgian exhibitors. Additionally, a breath of fresh air is blowing through
Hall 9.0 thanks to a special area for newcomers where recently founded
companies have the opportunity to present innovative decorative products.
what do you particularly recommend that visitors see?
A visit to the trend show in the Galleria, level 1, is a must. There, dealers
can find out which themes, colours, materials and patterns are likely to
play a key role in the new festive season. The trend show is an excellent
source of inspiration for putting together interesting assortments.
where else can visitors get new ideas?
This year, we have decided on a special show that perfectly supplements
the expanded field of florists’ requisites. In Hall 9.0, visitors will find a
spectacular wedding scene at Christmas. For the first time, fresh chrysanthemums
have been integrated into the presentation. These flowers are
combined with Christmas baubles and silk flowers, and this means visitors
can look forward to an extraordinary presentation with lots of surprises.

sich die vier themen für jeden Dekorationsbereich“, sagt
Designerin claudia Herke von stilbüro bora.herke, die im
Auftrag der Messe Frankfurt die vier trends definiert hat
und am Beispiel von vier festlichen tafeln inszeniert.

Sachlich und modern. Klare Formen, ausdrucksstarke Materialien. Auf
einem Tisch mit hochwertiger Holzplatte glatte oder geflochtene Ledersets
in Grau, Rosé oder Safrangelb. Tischdecke aus gebügeltem oder gestärktem
weißem Leinen. Schlichte weiße Stabkerzen in Kerzenhaltern aus
Edelstahl mit glatten polierten Oberflächen. Einzelne Blüten oder filigrane

Die Christmasworld präsentiert den Floristenbedarf erstmals in zwei Hallen: „Die Nachfrage der
Aussteller und das Interesse der Besucher sind einfach riesig. Deshalb haben wir uns dazu entschlossen,
das Angebot auf die Halle 9.0 auszudehnen“, sagt Jutta Baumann, Objektleiterin der Christmasworld.
In einem Großteil der Halle 9.0 können Einkäufer zukünftig Seiden­ und Trockenblumen, Pflanzgefäße,
Schalen, Vasen und Deko­Accessoires ordern. Neben vielen trendigen Produkten bietet die Halle 9.0
eine spektakuläre Sonderschau, die floristische Deko­Ideen zum Thema Hochzeit präsentiert.
Für frischen Wind sorgt außerdem ein Newcomer­Areal, auf dem junge Unternehmen innovative Deko­
Produkte vorstellen.
In Halle 8.0 erwartet Floristen ein umfassendes Angebot an formschönen Pflanzgefäßen für drinnen und
draußen, Deko­ und Steckfiguren für jeden festlichen Anlass sowie künstliche Weihnachtsbäume,
Blumen und Pflanzen. Bänder und Verpackungen sowie Kerzen und Düfte runden das Portfolio ab.
Mit Stumpen­ und Stabkerzen, Teelichtern, Duft­ und Bienenwachskerzen präsentieren die Aussteller

This year Christmasworld has allocated two halls to florists’ supplies: “The demand from exhibitors
and the interest from visitors has been so strong that we decided to expand into Hall 9.0,”
Jutta Baumann, director of Christmasworld, explains.
In future, buyers will be able to order silk and dried flowers, plant pots, bowls, vases and decorating
accessories practically everywhere in Hall 9.0. As well as a wide array of trendy products, there’s
also a special highlight in Hall 9.0 – visitors can look forward to a spectacular special show featuring
floristry­based decorating ideas focusing on the theme of weddings. A special area for newcomers,
where young designers will be presenting innovative decorating products, also adds a new dimension.
In Hall 8.0 florists can expect to see a comprehensive range of attractive indoor and outdoor plant
pots, decorative and stick ornaments for every festive occasion, artificial Christmas trees, flowers and
plants. Ribbons, wrapping materials, candles and fragrances round off the offerings. With pillar and
tapered candles, tea lights, scented and beeswax candles there will be no lack of natural light.

Erstmals haben junge deko-Unternehmen aus deutschland die chance,
auf einem vom Bundesministerium für wirtschaft und Technologie geförderten

Floristen, Fachhändlern, Dekorateuren und Designern bietet die Sonderschau
vielfältige Anregungen für eine individuelle Hochzeit – von der Tischdeko bis
zum Brautstrauß, vom Blumenherz bis zur Kirchengestaltung. Wir sprachen mit
den beiden Einrichtungs- und Dekorationsspezialisten, die sich mit Events in
Hollywood, New York und den Niederlanden einen Namen gemacht haben.
was hat sie zu dem thema „Merry Marriage“ inspiriert?
Zuerst haben wir das Ganze mit der Organisation der Messe Frankfurt
durchdacht. Für eine Messe mit einem solchen Riesenangebot an
Weihnachtsartikeln und Seidenblumen muss man ein Thema finden, das
sowohl anders als auch gewagt ist. Nun, Weihnachten ist das wichtigste
Ereignis der Welt, danach kommt die Hochzeit. Uns erschien das als eine
einmalige Kombination. Bei 2Dezign lieben wir es, ungewöhnliche Themen
und Kombinationen zu entwerfen und es für die Messebesucher aufregend
zu machen. Und so präsentieren wir jetzt eine Hochzeit, die zur Weihnachtszeit
stattfindet. Alle Aspekte der Hochzeit kommen vor, z. B. ein
Altar, ein Kuchen, ein Hochzeitspaar. Allerdings findet das Ganze in einer
Kirche statt, die weihnachtlich dekoriert ist. Das ganze Farbthema ist von
viel Weiß und weichen Pastell tönen bestimmt. Außerdem dekorieren wir die
Kirche mit frischen Chrysan themen, was außergewöhnlich für eine Hochzeit
und Weihnachten ist – aber sehr interessant aussieht. Versuchen Sie einfach,
sich zu unterscheiden, es anders zu machen…
Das florale Konzept wird durch chrysanthemen bestimmt.
warum chrysanthemen?
Zunächst einmal ist es sehr praktisch, mit Chrysanthemen zu arbeiten. Es
gibt ein großes Sortiment und eine große Farbpalette – das ist der eine
Grund. Der andere ist die Kombination. Die Chrysantheme ist eine wunderbare,
ausdrucksstarke Blume; außerdem erwartet man sie nicht zu Weihnachten
bzw. auf einer Hochzeit – das macht sie zusätzlich zu etwas
Besonderem. Rosen oder Orchideen wären auch sehr schön gewesen, aber
auch erwartbar.

welche gestalterischen Möglichkeiten eröffnen ihnen
chrysanthemen?
Es sind Blumen, die man mit Objekten gut kombinieren kann. Es entstehen
keine typischen bzw. traditionellen floralen Arrangements, für die normalerweise
andere Blumen verwendet werden. Stellen Sie sich große
Blumenbälle vor, Formen und Objekte mit Blumen gefüllt oder einen riesigen
Hochzeitskuchen dekoriert mit frischen Chrysanthemen. Auch wegen
des erschwinglichen Preises und der vielen Blüten an einem Zweig kann
man sehr viel mit dieser Blume machen. Wir wollen beweisen, dass sie
eine tolle Blume für viele Events, Blumensträuße und Dekorationen ist.
welche besonderen Accessoires und Deko-elemente
setzen sie ein?
Viele – von Weihnachtskugeln, Ornamenten, Kaminen bis zu anderen
Dekomaterialien. Wir verwenden fast alle Gegenstände, die zur
Weihnachtszeit verwendet werden, aber in einem anderen Rahmen. Das
Produkt verändert sich gar nicht so sehr über die Jahre, es sind die kreativen
Zutaten, auf die es ankommt.
Wir denken, Großhandel, Gartenfachmärkte oder Warenhäuser sollten sich
für ein Thema und eine Farbpalette entscheiden und dabeibleiben. Es geht
darum, den eigenen Unternehmensstil zu zeigen, diesen Stil für Käufer bzw.
Endverbraucher interessant zu machen und sicherzustellen, dass die
Kunden nächstes Jahr zurückkommen – zu Weihnachten, wenn sie heiraten
oder Feste feiern. Es ist sehr wichtig, den Menschen ein gutes Gefühl
zu geben.

Florists, specialty retailers, decorators and designers will find a wealth of
ideas for an individual wedding – ranging from table decoration to bridal
bouquet, from floral hearts to full church decoration. We spoke with two
furnishing and design specialists who have made a name for themselves
with events in Hollywood, New York and The Netherlands.
what inspired you to use the “Merry Marriage” theme?
First of all, we considered the organisation of Messe Frankfurt as a whole.
For a trade fair which offers such a wide variety of Christmas decorations
and silk flowers, it’s important to find a theme that is both bold and
different.
After all, Christmas is the world’s most important event, closely followed
by weddings – for us, a unique combination. At 2Dezign, we love to design
unusual themes and combinations which make the fair more exciting for
visitors. The result this time is a wedding that takes place at Christmas.
We shall present all the aspects of a wedding – an altar, a wedding cake, a
bridal couple – but the event takes place in a church which is decorated for
Christmas. The colour scheme is predominantly white and soft pastel
shades. The church will be decorated with fresh chrysanthemums – which
is unusual for both Christmas and for a wedding – but looks great. Just try
to be different …
chrysanthemums are a prominent feature of the floral
concept. why chrysanthemums?
Firstly, chrysanthemums are good flowers to work with, as they come in a
variety of types and colours ­ that’s one reason. Secondly, they can be
combined in many ways. The chrysanthemum is a wonderfully expressive
flower and quite unexpected at Christmas time – that’s what makes it
so special. Roses or orchids would have been beautiful too, but very
predictable.
which new design opportunities are inspired by chrysanthemums?
They combine well with other objects. The arrangements we create are not
the typical, traditional, floral type, for which other flowers are generally

Our idea is that wholesalers, garden centres and department stores should
decide on a theme and a colour scheme and then stick to it. It’s a matter of
presenting a company’s individual style, making this style attractive to buyers
and consumers and then ensuring that the customers come back the
next year – at Christmas time, when they are getting married or celebrating
some other event. It’s very important that people have a good feeling
about the product.

Fireworks for end­use consumers are beginning to look more and more like
fireworks for the professionals. Enhanced ultra power packs and interconnected
batteries offer the kind of choreographies and effects that you will
almost only see at professional firework displays. Richard Eickel, managing
director of COMET: “We are making more and more professional innovations
available to our private customers. Our new products for 2010 have real
stories to tell.” One of these is “Pandora’s Box”. According to Greek mythology
Pandora’s box contained all the vices and sorrows of the world, but also
hope. These features are united in the new product: “This battery of fireworks
uncovers dark secrets, but in the end good triumphs,” remarks COMET
boss Eickel. Once lit, ten shots whistle up into the sky blasting into a
brocade horsetail surrounded by a wonderful display of colourful stars.
“At a height of 55 metres a breathtaking XXL brocade rain effect is
displayed, providing an awesome end to your choreography.”
