Our experience with the SWX Swiss Exchange guidelines has shown the importance of sustainable and long-term relationships with all shareholders and stakeholders, and a sensible application of corporate governance instruments. Corporate governance at Siegfried is based on the statutes of Siegfried Holding AG, the rules of procedure of the Siegfried Group, and the structure of the Group and the two Divisions, Siegfried Actives and Siegfried Generics. The corporate governance report (on page 12) describes the principles of management and control of the Siegfried Group. Corporate governance in the Siegfried Group mainly follows the “Swiss Code of Best Practice” of March 2002. It is regularly reviewed and revised by the Board of Directors, the ultimate institution responsible for the content and implementation of the corporate governance guidelines. Markets Siegfried serves the Life Science industry worldwide. This industry includes international chemical and pharmaceutical companies that outsource their development and production projects or producers of finished products that have their active ingredients produced by Siegfried. About the report Whenever possible and relevant, this report is based on the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). If not noted elsewhere, the comments made in this Report are valid for all of the Siegfried Group, exclusive of its holdings in Taiwan and China. The Compliance Committee, along with the Chief Compliance Officer, is responsible for the implementation of compliance and quality standards, and for the area of Safety, Health and Environment. The Secretary of the Board of Directors supervises the Code of Conduct. Our stakeholders For Siegfried, our most important stakeholders are our customers, employees, investors, and the public authorities and regulators. Further stakeholders are the general public and our suppliers.
