Installing the SYSPRO Web Services<br />

The SYSPRO Web Services can be setup on the SYSPRO application server or on a<br />

separate web server. In this appendix we take you through the installation of the Web<br />

Services on the SYSPRO application server. If you set the services up on a separate web<br />

server you will need to configure DCOM to connect the web server to the SYSPRO<br />

application server.<br />

A.1. Prerequisites<br />

The SYSPRO Web services require the following to be installed on a Windows Server<br />

2000/2003 computer:<br />

• IIS 4.0 or higher needs to be installed on the machine that will act as a web server<br />

• The Microsoft .NET 1.1 Framework is required on the web server<br />

• SYSPRO e.<strong>net</strong> solutions must be configured on the web server<br />

• All previous versions of the SYSPRO 6.0 Web services have to be un-installed<br />

IIS is the only prerequisite for the installation to succeed.<br />

Procedure A.1. Installing Web Services<br />

1. Insert the SYSPRO CD-ROM into the designated computer. The auto-run installation<br />

menu is displayed.<br />

2. From the auto-run installation menu select, Install Product.
