RESOLUTIONS OF THE PLANNING, ZONING AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING COMMITTEE MEETING<br />

Tuesday, October 11 2011<br />

1. Application for a Development Variance Permit for the 4 lot subdivision at 960 Isabell Avenue.<br />

The applicant is applying to vary the Subdivision and Development Servicing Bylaw No. 1000<br />

requirement for a cul-de-sac to nil, and a 23m (75ft) section <strong>of</strong> sidewalk to nil and the<br />

applicant is proposing to provide a two point turnaround for vehicle turning movements Staff<br />

Report (DVP-11-0011)<br />

That Council:<br />

1. Proceed with consideration <strong>of</strong> a Development Variance Permit No. DVP-11-0011 for 960<br />

Isabell Avenue, with the following variances:<br />

i. That Section 4 in Subdivision and Development Servicing Bylaw No. 1000 be varied<br />

to eliminate the required cul-de-sac and sidewalk to nil for 960 Isabell Avenue,<br />

subject to the following condition:<br />

a. That the applicant provide a sign and thermoplastic line painting stating "No<br />

Parking - Fire Lane" in the fire truck turnaround area to the satisfaction <strong>of</strong><br />

the Fire Chief; and<br />

b. That the turnaround area be to the satisfaction <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong> Engineer and Fire<br />

Chief and be determined prior to subdivision approval.<br />

2. Application to Vary Section 9.6 <strong>of</strong> the Subdivision and Development Servicing Bylaw No. 1000<br />

by Allowing Single Phase Transmission Systems to Remain Aboveground at 2381 Fleetwood<br />

Crt; 2389 Fleetwood Crt (DVP11-0024)<br />

That Council direct staff to proceed with consideration <strong>of</strong> the following variance for 2381 and<br />

2389 Fleetwood Court:<br />

a) That Section 9.6 <strong>of</strong> the Subdivision and Development Servicing Bylaw No. 1000 is varied<br />

by allowing single phase transmission systems in the Fleetwood Court frontage <strong>of</strong> the<br />

subdivision to remain aboveground.<br />

3. Application to vary the distance that a building or structure may be located from the interior<br />

side lot line from 1.5 m (5 ft) to 0.3 m (1 ft) to allow for an addition comprising an attached<br />

workshop with habitable floor space above at 2719 Scafe Road (DVP11-0025)<br />

That Council proceed with consideration <strong>of</strong> Development Variance Permit No. DVP11-0025 for<br />

the property at 2719 Scafe Road, with the following variance:<br />

a. That Section 6.21.06(l)(b) <strong>of</strong> Zoning Bylaw No. 300 is varied by reducing the distance<br />

that a building or structure may be located from the interior lot line from 1.5 m (5 ft) to<br />

0.3 m (1 ft) for the proposed addition at 2719 Scafe Road.
