Review <strong>of</strong> Stone Retaining Wall<br />

This letter summarizes our meeting <strong>of</strong> September 21 at the above site. Of interest is the mortared<br />

stone retaining wall along the rear property line. Photos are appended.<br />

The grade difference between the front and back <strong>of</strong> the wall will be approximately 1.0 m. The<br />

wall has a substantial base approximately 0.5 m wide. The wall will be backfilled with shotrock<br />

stockpiled nearby on the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong><strong>Langford</strong> Parks property.<br />

The wall is suitable for the intended purpose <strong>of</strong> retaining higher ground on the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong><strong>Langford</strong><br />

properly behind the subject lot. Wall backfill should be graded level w ithin 1.2 m <strong>of</strong> the property<br />

boundary.<br />
