參 同 契 .<br />

<strong>The</strong> original version <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Daozang jiyao was compiled by<br />

Jiang Yupu 蔣 予 浦 (1756–1819) during <strong>the</strong> Jiaqing 嘉 慶 reign<br />

period (1796–1820). (<strong>The</strong>re is no bibliographic or material trace<br />

<strong>of</strong> a Daozang jiyao by Peng Dingqiu 彭 定 求 , 1645–1719, to<br />

whom an earlier version is sometimes attributed.) In addition to<br />

Chen Xianwei’s commentary, it contains <strong>the</strong> commentaries by<br />

Chen Zhixu (no. 9) and Zhu Yuanyu (no. 20).<br />

Chongkan Daozang jiyao 重 刊 道 藏 輯 要 , 1906. Title:<br />

Cantong qi jie 參 同 契 解 .<br />

In this edition, <strong>the</strong> anonymous postface and <strong>the</strong> postface by<br />

Wang Yi are found at <strong>the</strong> beginning <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> text.<br />

This enlarged edition <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Daozang jiyao contains <strong>the</strong> same<br />

three commentaries found in <strong>the</strong> original version. It was compiled<br />

by He Longxiang 賀 龍 驤 and Peng Hanran 彭 瀚 然 and<br />

was published at <strong>the</strong> Erxian an 二 仙 庵 in Chengdu (Sichuan) in<br />

1906.<br />

Repr. Huawen chubanshe (Taipei, 1970); Kaozheng chubanshe<br />

(Taipei, 1971); Xinwenfeng chubanshe (Taipei, 1977, and later<br />

reprints); and Ba-Shu shushe (Chengdu, 1995). <strong>The</strong> 1971 and<br />

<strong>the</strong> 1977 reprints lack page 52a <strong>of</strong> Chen Xianwei’s work, containing<br />

<strong>the</strong> last part <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> “Dingqi ge” 鼎 器 歌 .<br />

陳 注 ().<br />

Unidentified edition published in Guangling 廣 陵 (Jiangsu),<br />

listed in Fanshu ouji 販 書 偶 記 , “Xubian” 續 編 , p. 199, and<br />

attributed <strong>the</strong>re to Chen Xianwei.<br />

NOTE: In addition to <strong>the</strong> editions cited above, Congshu zonglu<br />

xubian, no. 1013, reports an edition found in <strong>the</strong> Baijia mingshu 百<br />

家 名 書 , compiled by Hu Wenhuan 胡 文 煥 and published by his<br />

Wenhui tang 文 會 堂 in Qiantang 錢 塘 (Zhejiang) in 1573/1620<br />

(Wanli 萬 曆 reign period). This edition is not cited in Congshu<br />

guanglu, no. 1039, or in any o<strong>the</strong>r catalogue that I have seen.<br />
