UNIFORM INTERSTATE FAMILY SUPPORT ACT (2008 Amendments)
To amend Chapter 11 of Title 19 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to
the Uniform Family Support Act, so as to provide for the 2008 amendments,
incorporating the 2001 amendments to UIFSA and the United States’ adoption of
the Hague Convention on the International Recovery of Child Support and Other
Forms of Family Maintenance.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
Section 1. Previous Sections 19-11-100 to 19-11-191 of the Official Code of
Georgia Annotated are repealed.
Section 2. New Sections 19-11-100 to 19-11-179 of the Official Code of Georgia
Annotated are established in accordance with the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act
(2008), drafted by the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws,
and provided herein as Exhibit B.
