Saint Coniglio of Italy is credited to be the “Saint of Rabbits.” Every Spring during his lifetime he treated rabbits and gave them to children in hospitals and orphanages to take care of so that they wouldn’t die in the wild. After Coniglio’s death, every year in early Spring kids would receive baby rabbits and other treats as tribute. www.TheCrabCracker.com SATURDAY, MARCH 30 Stanwood’s Spring Spectacular • 8am-11am Stanwood United Methodist Pancake Breakfast: Breakfast is served at 27128 102nd Dr NW, Stanwood. Donations gladly accepted. • 9am Easter Egg Hunt at Stanwood Fairgrounds, 6431 Pioneer Hwy, Stanwood. Hosted by the Stanwood Eagles. Come “hunt” for the winning eggs - you could win one of 300 Easter baskets donated by local businesses and residents. 10,000 eggs, 4 age groups and staggered start. • 10am Lions Hippity Hop Trot 5K Run & Cottontail Fun Run (12 & Under Free). Start and finish near the old Thrifty Parking Lot. Register at Candie’s Kids or the Stanwood Chamber office. $15 Pre- Registration or $20 day of race. All proceeds benefit local charities. There will be pony rides by Lang’s Traveling ponies, a bouncy house, and train rides. We have fun activities for the whole family! Warm Beach Community Church will be serving up hot dogs for lunch by donation. • Noon Spring Bonnet Contest/Judging: Open to ALL ages. Pick up a passport and register at Candie’s Kids or the day of at the parade registration table behind the Police Station starting at 11am. Come show off your one of a kind creation and win prizes donated by local businesses and restaurants. • Noon - 2pm Visit the EASTER BUNNY! Bring your camera and capture a lifetime memory! At Viking Village grassy knoll. Stanwood High School Key Club will be on hand taking photos and will have purchase options of $2 for one 5 X 7 or $5 for three 5 X 7’s. NO PUR- CHASE NECESSARY.
