7. Upgradation <strong>of</strong> Merit <strong>of</strong> SC/ST Students (CSS):-<br />
Seven students (SC-6 &ST-1) are selected on the basis <strong>of</strong> merit list <strong>of</strong> middle standard exams<br />
<strong>of</strong> HPBSE are admitted in 9 th class in GSSS Sarahan (Sirmour).The Scheme is tenable from 9 th<br />
to 10+2 class.<br />
1. For fee and stationery = Rs. 2500/- per annum<br />
2. For boarding and lodging = Rs. 700/- per month<br />
3. Out <strong>of</strong> pocket allowance = Rs. 200/- per month<br />
In addition to this a provision for the payment <strong>of</strong> Honorarium @ Rs.8000/- per annum per<br />
student is made to the teachers imparting teaching to these students.<br />
Note: In view <strong>of</strong> the Board exams for eighth class having been abolished, there is a proposal to<br />
prepare the merit list as per earlier norms on the basis <strong>of</strong> one written test.<br />
8. Merit cum Means Scholarship Scheme for Students belonging to Minority community<br />
(CSS)–:<br />
This Scholarship is for the Minority students belonging to (Muslim-13,Sikh-8,Christian-<br />
1,Budhhist- 8 ,Total =30 ).The annual income <strong>of</strong> the parent or guardian <strong>of</strong> the beneficiary<br />
should not exceed Rs. 2.50 Lac from all sources and student should have not less than 50%<br />
marks. Financial assistance will be given to pursue degree and/or Post-graduate level technical<br />
Pr<strong>of</strong>essional courses from recognized institutions.<br />
9. Post–Matric Scholarship Scheme to Students belonging to Minority Community<br />
(CSS):-<br />
This Scholarship will be given from XI to Phd. Level in Govt./recognized private<br />
school/college/institute including technical/vocational courses for the Minority students<br />
belonging to (Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Budhhist and Parsi ).The annual income <strong>of</strong> the parent<br />
or guardian <strong>of</strong> the beneficiary should not exceed Rs. 2.00 Lac from all sources and student<br />
should have not less than 50% marks in the previous final examination. Student must pass the<br />
examination from Govt./Govt.-aided institutions.<br />
10. Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme to Students belonging to Minority Community (CSS)-<br />
:<br />
This Scholarship is for the Minority students belonging to (Muslim-250, Sikh-160,Christian-<br />
20,Budhhist-160 Total –600 students).The annual income <strong>of</strong> the parents or guardian <strong>of</strong> the<br />
beneficiary should not exceed Rs. 1.00 Lac from all sources and student should have not less<br />
than 50% marks in the previous final examination. The Scholarship will be awarded for<br />
students in India in a Govt. or private School from class 1 to class 10th.<br />
11. Centrally Sponsored Scheme <strong>of</strong> Scholarship for College and University Students<br />
(CSS).<br />
This is a new CSS on the basis <strong>of</strong> (50% boys, 50% girls) implemented in the year 2008-09<br />
through H. P. Board <strong>of</strong> School <strong>Education</strong> Dharmshala for Post plus two students who secured<br />
80% and above marks in 10+2 class. HP Board <strong>of</strong> School <strong>Education</strong>, Dharamshala invites the<br />
application forms <strong>of</strong> eligible students and sent direct to GOI, MHRD, New Delhi.<br />
12. Maulana Azad National Scholarship Scheme for Meritorious Girls Students belonging<br />
to Minorities:<br />
This Scholarship is being given to 18 meritorious girl students belonging to Minority<br />
community(Muslim—08, Sikh-04, Christan-02, Bhudhist-04 Total=18 students) who secured<br />
55% and above marks in Matriculation Examination conducted by the H.P. Board <strong>of</strong> School
