Atonement

Right Place, Right Time
READ: Romans 5:6-11
KEY VERSE: But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we
were still sinners, Christ died for us. -Romans 5:8 (NKJV)
It was Good Friday, 2013. I wanted a new blouse. I went to Marshall’s, found
one and got in line. As I waited, a woman at the front of the line beckoned
me. When I approached, she said, “I just want to be a blessing to you,” and
told the cashier to ring up my item. I began to protest, but I could hear the
Spirit say, “Allow yourself to be blessed.” My debt was paid that day because I
was in the right place at the right time.
The fall of Adam caused brokenness and estrangement between God and
mankind. The Old Testament foretells of the coming Messiah. However,
Christ shows up in the New Testament. By His death, atonement was made
for our sins – restoring humanity back to God. Christ did not arrive in the Old
Testament, but He arrived at Calvary and paid our debts. Right place, right

love to others?
Lord, please fill me with love, compassion and discernment so I find myself
in the right place at the right time to be a blessing to others. In the name of
