โครงการหมู่บ้านยามชายแดนดําเนินการโดยยึดหลักการมีส่วนร่ว
มของชุมชนตั้งแต่ร่วมคิด ร่วมวางแผน ร่วมดําเนินการ ร่วมประเมินผล
และร่วมแก้ไขปัญหาเพื ่อให้ชุมชนมีความพร้อมที ่จะรับการพัฒนา เรียกว่า
“การระเบิดจากข้างใน” เป็นการพัฒนาแบบค่อยเป็นค่อยไป คํานึงถึง
ความเหมาะสม สอดคล้องกับสภาพสังคม และมีความสมดุลกับทรัพยากร
ธรรมชาติเเละสิ่งแวดล้อมของชุมชน มุ่งพัฒนาสู่ชุมชนพึ่งตนเอง ให้สมาชิก
ในชุมชนอยู่ดีมีสุข และส่งผลต่อความยั่งยืนของทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและ
สิ่งแวดล้อม ให้อนุชนรุ่นหลังได้ใช้ประโยชน์ ทําให้ชุมชนมีความเข้มแข็ง
มีภูมิคุ้มกันพร้อมที่จะรับผลกระทบจากวิกฤติการณ์ต่างๆ และสามารถ
ปฏิบัติภารกิจของราษฎรไทยอาสาสมัครหมู่บ้านยามชายแดนได้อย่าง
มีประสิทธิภาพ โดยมีทหารเข้าไปช่วยในด้านการฝึกอบรม การระวัง
ป้องกัน การรายงานข่าวสารเพื่อเป็นหูเป็นตาให้กับทางราชการวัตถุประสงค์
ที ่สําคัญเพื่อการข่าวและความมั่นคงของประเทศ
วันนี้ หมู่บ้านยามชายแดนได้มีการพัฒนาตามแนวทางพระราชดําริ
ของพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวและสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ
จนสามารถดํารงความเป็นหมู ่บ้านยามชายแดนได้ตามจุดมุ ่งหมายเพราะ
ประชาชนในหมู่บ้านนั้น ได้เป็นผู้ดํารงชีวิตอยู่ในผืนป่าอย่างเรียบง่าย
พอใจในชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ ทําหน้าที่รายงานข่าวสารที่เป็นผลดีต่อความมั่นคง
ของชาติ และนี่คือพระราชกรณียกิจหนึ่ง ที่ทั้งสองพระองค์ได้ทรงมอบ
ให้แก่พสกนิกรของพระองค์ถึงแม้จะอยู่ไกลแสนไกลก็ตาม
The implementation of the Border Guard Village by
royal thought is based on community participation including;
brainstorming, planning, implementation, evaluation, and
resolving problems, which can make the community ready
for development. This principle is called “Explosion within”.
It is evolutionary development realizing about aptitude
which should be suitable and compatible with social and
balance with natural resources and environment of community.
The project aims to create autonomous community, allow
community members to live well, and sustain natural
resources and environment for posterity. Consequentially,
the community becomes strong and ready for any critical
impact, and villagers can practice as volunteer border
guard efficiently with the support of soldiers in training,
precaution and also information reported from villagers who
are informants corresponding with the primary objectives:
intelligence and national security.
At present, the current guard village are developed
based on the guideline of royal thought and principles of
King Bhumibol and Queen Sirikit until they can achieve the
goal of Border Guard Village. This is because the people
in such villages are satisfy of their livelihood and live in
the forest with simplicity, meanwhile reporting information
which is beneficial to the national security. This border guard
village is one of many royal activities that the King and the
Queen support people who even live in faraway and barren
locations.
