20 กรกฎาคม 2552 : ดร.ศักดิ์สิทธิ์ ตรีเดช ปลัดกระทรวงทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม เป็นประธานเปิดการประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการ
ความร่วมมือระดับภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ เรื่อง “ธุรกิจกับความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพ” ซึ่งประเทศไทย โดย สํานักงานนโยบายและ
แผนทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม ในฐานะหน่วยประสานงานกลาง อนุสัญญาว่าด้วยความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพ ร่วมกับ ศูนย์อาเซียน
ว่าด้วยความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพ จัดการประชุมขึ้น ณ โรงแรมมิราเคิล แกรนด์ คอนเวนชั่น กรุงเทพฯ เพื่อส่งเสริมการริเริ่มว่าด้วยธุรกิจ
ความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพระดับภูมิภาค โดยเฉพาะการดําเนินงานของกลุ่มธุรกิจบริษัทชั้นนําในประเทศไทย ให้เป็นที่รู้จักและยอมรับของ
หน่วยงานภาคธุรกิจในระดับภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ โดยการเปิดโอกาสให้มีการแลกเปลี่ยนและแบ่งปันประสบการณ์ข้อมูลการดําเนิน
กิจกรรมความรับผิดชอบต่อสังคม (CSR : Corporate social responsibility) ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการอนุรักษ์ความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพ รวมถึง
ร่วมหารือถึงแนวทางและวิธีการในการผลักดันให้ความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพเป็นหนึ่งในประเด็นสําคัญของภาคธุรกิจ ตลอดจนสนับสนุน
การสร้างพันธมิตรความร่วมมือระหว่างชุมชนภาคธุรกิจทั้งในระดับประเทศ ระดับภูมิภาค และระดับโลก ทั้งนี้ จะมีการรวบรวมและบันทึก
กิจกรรม CSR ด้านดังกล่าว เพื่อนําเสนอในรายงานภาพรวมของพันธมิตรธุรกิจกับความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพทั่วโลกภายใต้การดําเนินงาน
ตามอนุสัญญาฯ
On July 20 th , 2009, Dr. Saksit Tridech, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment,
served as the Chairman of the Workshop Conference in Thailand in collaboration with Southeast Asia region, with the
title of “Business and Biological Diversity”. It was organized by the Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy
and Planning, which liaised with the ASEAN Center for Biodiversity in accordance with the Convention on Biological
Diversity. The meeting was held at the Miracle Grand Convention Hotel, Bangkok to promote business initiatives and
biological diversity at the regional level, particularly in terms of leading Thai corporations becoming known among
business agencies in the Southeast Asia region, while also sharing experiences and operational information. This was
intended to lead to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) relevant to biological diversity conservation, including
consultation to find guidelines and procedures for making biological diversity a significant business topic. At the same time,
building corporate alliances among communities was promoted at national, regional and global levels. These CSR activities
have been completed and recorded for an overall presentation about business alliances and worldwide biological diversity
under the Convention on Biological Diversity’s operational guidelines.
