Yunanistan üzerinde kurduğu ekonomik baskının
sona erdirilmesi bulunuyordu. Partinin
seçim sloganı aslında Aleksis Çipras’ın siyasi
hedefini de net olarak göstermekteydi:
“Yunanistan gelişiyor, Avrupa değişiyor,
umut geliyor.” Ancak böyle bir karşı duruş ve
örgütlenme elbette ki Avrupa kanadında
kabul görebilecek bir siyasi adım olamazdı.
Tıpkı 1920 seçimlerinde olduğu gibi ekonomik
ve sosyal açıdan yorgun düşen halk,
seçimden önce Almanya Başbakanı Angela
Merkel’in Yunan halkının sağduyulu bir
seçim yapması konusundaki uyarısını dikkate
almayarak oyunu Avrupa ekonomik kriterlerine
karşı duran SYRİZA ve Aleksis Çipras
yönünde kullandı. Hükümeti ANEL koalisyonu
ile kuran Başbakan Çipras, 25 Ocak
akşamı Atina Üniversitesi bahçesinde yaptığı
balkon konuşmasında halkına şu cümlelerle
seslendi: “Yunanistan yeni bir sayfa açıyor.
Beş yıl süren acımız, boyun eğmemiz sona
ermiş bulunuyor. Umut geliyor ve biz eski
onurumuzu yeniden kazanıyoruz…”
YUNANİSTAN’DA SYRİZA DÖNEMİ
Bugün SYRİZA ile Yunanistan, Avrupa ve
kendi siyasi tarihinde ilk defa radikal sol
parti hükümetinin kurulmasıyla yeni bir
sayfa açtı. SYRİZA, Avrupa’dan yönünü
değiştirmeden ama onun tam güdümünde de

dently from troika’s policies and aggravated
the country’s foreign dependence in
financial and social terms.
SYRIZA was the only way to get over the
economic and social crisis as it was the
only party that argued against
Memorandum in Greece. Party leader
Alexis Tsipras charged all political parties
with treason as they cooperated with troika,
and he objected to such economic pressure.
Now Greek people regard the
European Union as a “German Empire”
which not only seizes Greece’s economic
independence but also damages the country’s
national honor. Tsipras’s discourse
and stance against ‘German-centric’
Europe prepared a favorable ground for
the party’s first considerable success since
the party was established and started its
political life in 1989. SYRIZA announced
its victory in the elections held on January
25, 2015 and won 149 out of 300 seats in the
parliament by receiving 36% of the votes.
Before forming the government, Tsipras
promised Greek people that the country
would regain its honor and recover from
Europe’s economic oppression with the
SYRIZA government. Election slogan of
the party was an obvious indication of the
political ambition of Alexis Tsipras:
“Greece is developing, Europe is changing,
hope is coming.” But such an opposition
and organization would not be an acceptable
political move for Europe. As in the
1920 elections, the Greek people were economically
and socially exhausted after the
hectic election period. Therefore, they
ignored Angela Merkel’s warning about
giving votes prudently in the elections, and
voted for SYRIZA under the leadership of
Alexis Tsipras which opposes the economic
criteria of Europe. Forming the government
under the ANEL coalition, Prime
Minister Tsipras made an address to the
nation in the garden of the University of
Athens on January 25, saying: “Greece is
turning a new page. We are recovered from
the pain and submission that we suffered
for the last five years. We are hopeful and
we are regaining our honor…”
SYRIZA ERA IN GREECE
Today, Greece has opened a new page with
SYRIZA which formed a radical leftist government
for the first time in the history of
Greece and Europe. SYRIZA prepared a
party program which does not act under
the full dominance of Europe without
