There are technically 2 requirements for
Auto Geographic Hub Redundancy as
required in the tender:
a. 1. Both the Hubs should have the
identical/similar Baseband technologies

b. Both the Hubs should operate on the
same Satellite and Frequency Band
Secondly, as per the regulations, the
Shared Hub Service Providers may not
operate Moving and Moveable Sites
(Vehicle Mount/Fly-aways), so these sites
may not operate on Shared Hub license
The satellite capacity will be
provided by Antrix on available
satellite after installation and
commissioning of the hub. The
location arc of the satellite is
indicated to ensure antenna
tracking capabilities. RFP has
included specifications for
antenna and RF components
that can support transmission
up to 45.0 Mbps carrier on any
satellite even with minimum
G/T. GSDMA network
requirement is only around 5.0
Mbps outroute carrier as such
no difficulty will be experienced
for operation with any satellite.
Suggested bandwidth will be
sufficient for peak traffic loads
at respective nodes. The node at
SEOC may be at 16.0 mbps rate.
