Joseph Keeney is a long time resident of the south Kansas City area. Joseph attended the University<br />
of <strong>Missouri</strong> Kansas City where he earned a Bachelors of <strong>Music</strong> Education. He has earned a Masters<br />
of Arts in Education degree from Webster University. Joseph Keeney taught strings in the Kansas<br />
City Kansas school district for three years in elementary, middle and High school at Washington<br />
High. From Kansas City Kansas Joseph moved to the South Kansas City area and taught in the<br />
Raytown School district at Raytown South Middle and Raytown South High. He is currently the<br />
Director of Orchestras at Lee’s Summit North High School and Bernard Campbell middle school<br />
and is in his 17th year of teaching. Joseph is also in the seventh year as orchestra director of the<br />
Kansas City Youth Symphony Symphonette. Joseph has served as an adjudicator for many district<br />
and state level music festivals including Kansas, Iowa, Oklahoma as well as many area festivals in<br />
<strong>Missouri</strong>. He has also served as a clinician and conductor for the Tennessee All State Middle School<br />
orchestra as well as several area workshops, summer orchestra’s and orchestra festivals.<br />
Joseph Keeney is a violinist and plays regularly in the Armande string quartet and has played with<br />
the Kansas City Civic Symphony, Saint Joseph Symphony and the Lee’s Summit Symphony.<br />
Joseph Keeney currently resides in Lee’s Summit MO and has a wonderful wife, Diane, and two<br />
wonderful daughters, Jillian and Addison.<br />
