‘Safety is key’ remained<br />
Etex’s main commitment<br />
to our employees<br />
throughout <strong>2014</strong>. To<br />
attain our ultimate goal<br />
of zero accidents, we<br />
continued to share both<br />
knowledge and best<br />
practices, while further<br />
defining and carrying<br />
out our safety and health<br />
strategy.<br />
In 2007, Etex drew up a transparent zeroaccident<br />
policy. We have been taking<br />
definite action, setting clear safety and<br />
health objectives, and defining standards<br />
to become completely incident-free ever<br />
since.<br />
because of two fatal accidents at our plants<br />
in Goor (the Netherlands) and Autenried<br />
(Germany). To prevent such tragic events<br />
and increase our focus on health and safety<br />
even more, we took several new initiatives.<br />
Despite our efforts, we sadly regret<br />
the work-related deaths of four of our<br />
employees in <strong>2014</strong>: two of our people lost<br />
their lives in a motorcycle accident on their<br />
way to work. We also lost two colleagues<br />
The Etex EHS Council<br />
In <strong>2014</strong>, Etex established a council for<br />
