PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIP TIE-BREAKERS AND<br />
PLAYOFFS<br />
Round Robin Tie-breaker<br />
1) Should two or more teams be tied for a playoff position, the team ranking and the<br />
structure of tie-breaker games shall be determined according to the Ranking Table for<br />
Tiebreakers. When three draws are required to complete the tie-breaking scenario,<br />
games will be 8 ends.<br />
2) The ranking for tie breakers will be used for team placement in all tiebreakers.<br />
Page Playoff<br />
5) Two teams from each pool will advance to the playoff round. The playoff round shall be<br />
either a page playoff or a single knock-out playoff as specified in the rules of the<br />
competition.<br />
6) The teams ranked first in each pool will compete with the winner advancing to the final<br />
and the loser competing in the semi-final.<br />
7) The teams in second place in the Round Robin will compete with the winner advancing<br />
to the semi-final.<br />
8) Once a team makes their color selection and declares it to the Umpire the choice cannot<br />
be altered.<br />
9) The winner of the 1 vs. 1 game may practice for 30 minutes prior to the semi-final on a<br />
designated sheet commencing after the start of the game.<br />
National Championships<br />
1) All teams at a Provincial Championship are competing for the Provincial Title,<br />
<strong>Curl<strong>Manitoba</strong></strong> reserves the right to select the team to represent <strong>Manitoba</strong> at the National<br />
Championship.<br />
2) The winning team shall be eligible to represent <strong>Manitoba</strong> in competition for the Canadian<br />
<strong>Curling</strong> Championship.<br />
3) An alternate player shall accompany the winning team to the Canadian Championship<br />
for the Scotties Tournament of Hearts and the Brier. The alternate is chosen by the<br />
team from any member club in <strong>Manitoba</strong>. This athlete will take part in all functions as a<br />
team member. The alternate player must be named at the time <strong>Curl<strong>Manitoba</strong></strong> declares<br />
the National representative.<br />
