CurlManitoba Rules Changes
2013-2014 Season
1. All senior events leading up to and including the Provincial Championships will be 8 ends.
2. At all events coaches will be given a maximum time to access their team when a time out is
called. Once the maximum amount of time (20 seconds on average) is reached the one
minute will begin.
3. Junior Teams may register an assistant coach for events leading up to and including the
Provincial Championship.
4. Ice preparation at unofficiated events will be done prior to the start of each games only.
5. No team shall seed themselves for a CurlManitoba event.
6. The Mixed Championship format will be 4 groups of 4 advancing to an eight team knockout
with 4 teams advancing to a page playoff.
7. The seeds for the 16 Team – 4 group Championship shall be 1, 8, 9, 16 and 2, 7, 10, 15 and
3, 6, 11, 14 and 4, 5, 12, 13 respectively.
8. The Senior Women‟s Provincial Championship will be an open entry event.
9. A draw for hammer will occur at all events leading up to the Provincial Championship except in
junior competitions.
10. The Dominion Championship will be exempt from the cresting standards.
