iscover Budapest Zoo from behind the
scenes. Join zookeepers as they do the
rounds, feeding and taking care of wild
animals from all over the world. Catch a
California sea lion show, take part in penguin
feeding, or marvel at Europe’s largest collection
of flamingos. Stare straight into the eyes of a
giraffe from above their enclosure and witness
water buffalo as they enjoy a good soak in
thermal waters from a nearby spring. Some of
you may prefer scary animals, such as voracious
piranhas, poisonous snakes or fearsome
Komodo dragons, while others are more
partial to cute and cuddly ones such as playful
orangutans, chinchillas or wallabies. At midday
enjoy a picnic lunch by the Big Lake – home
to Nile alligators and Dalmatian pelicans – or
venture over to City Park next door.
