ADVENTIST STICKING POINTS<br />
N<br />
ow that <strong>the</strong> message of <strong>the</strong> Bible on <strong>the</strong> Sabbath had<br />
been studied and <strong>the</strong> teaching clear to my mind, <strong>the</strong>re<br />
were some sticking points that seemed to contradict this<br />
consistent <strong>the</strong>me. One example of this is <strong>the</strong> statement that<br />
Adventists often quote to imply that everyone in <strong>the</strong> new<br />
earth will be keeping <strong>the</strong> seventh-day Sabbath.<br />
“For as <strong>the</strong> new heavens and <strong>the</strong> new earth which I will<br />
make shall remain before Me,” says <strong>the</strong> LORD, “So<br />
shall your descendants and your name remain. And it<br />
shall come to pass that from one <strong>New</strong> Moon to<br />
ano<strong>the</strong>r, and from one Sabbath to ano<strong>the</strong>r, all flesh<br />
shall come to worship before Me,” says <strong>the</strong> LORD.<br />

Adventists teach that this is proof that <strong>the</strong> Sabbath is<br />
an eternal institution and is, <strong>the</strong>refore, still binding today.<br />
So I went to that passage to read it for myself and<br />
discovered a few interesting facts. One, <strong>the</strong> text states that<br />
<strong>the</strong> celebrations will be “from one <strong>New</strong> Moon to ano<strong>the</strong>r<br />
and from one Sabbath to ano<strong>the</strong>r.” Does this mean that<br />
<strong>New</strong> Moon festivals are unchangeable and eternal? Will
