CONCLUSION<br />
W<br />
hat are Seventh-day Adventists? Are <strong>the</strong>y just a group<br />
of basically mainline Christians with some unique<br />
doctrines? Or should <strong>the</strong>y be classified as a cult group with<br />
teachings that should be considered dangerous? My answer<br />
to that question is summed up in ano<strong>the</strong>r question. Would <strong>the</strong><br />
Apostle Paul have considered <strong>the</strong> Judaizers, <strong>the</strong> ones who<br />
were leading <strong>the</strong> Galatians away from <strong>the</strong> true Gospel, a<br />
cult? Most people would answer yes to that question. The<br />
Galatians had come under a “bewitching” influence. They<br />
had believed “ano<strong>the</strong>r gospel” that was really not a gospel at<br />
all. These teachers were causing <strong>the</strong> Galatians to “fall from<br />
grace.” They were courting <strong>the</strong>m for “no good.” These false<br />
teachers were putting <strong>the</strong> people back under a “yoke of<br />
bondage.”<br />
The Galatians’ heresy was subtle. At first it seemed<br />
genuine because it taught that people were saved <strong>by</strong> grace. In<br />
Galatians 3 we read:<br />
O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you<br />
should not obey <strong>the</strong> truth, before whose eyes Jesus<br />
Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified?<br />
