DISCOVERING THE NEW COVENANT<br />
Soon I was leafing through a book of similar paintings<br />
looking for <strong>the</strong>ir hidden secrets. What a discovery! Once I<br />
made that initial discovery, all of <strong>the</strong> pictures seemed to<br />
come alive. I could never look at one of <strong>the</strong>se hidden<br />
pictures in <strong>the</strong> same way again.<br />
In much <strong>the</strong> same way, <strong>the</strong> Scriptures came to life for<br />
Paula and me as we studied. At first we saw what we had<br />
always seen. Then one day <strong>the</strong>y came to life for us. We<br />
begin to see <strong>the</strong> Bible as we had never seen it before. After<br />
seeing <strong>the</strong> truth come to life, we could never view <strong>the</strong> Bible<br />
in <strong>the</strong> same way again. We do not in any way want to put<br />
down ano<strong>the</strong>r person's understanding of Scripture. Nor do<br />
we want to say that we are right and o<strong>the</strong>rs are wrong. All<br />
we can say is that we have seen a picture of God and His<br />
Word that has shattered all our previous paradigms and<br />
given us a new and more complete understanding of God’s<br />
gift to mankind. We are forever grateful for this gift of<br />
God’s grace.<br />
In <strong>the</strong> chapters that follow I will explain <strong>the</strong><br />
<strong>the</strong>ological process that God took us through to break free<br />
of <strong>the</strong> Adventist <strong>the</strong>ological worldview.<br />
