Ventilation Air conditioner The SmartComfort Enviromax 2400 air conditioner from ICP features R-410A refrigerant, a 14 SEER rating with Copeland scroll compressors, two-speed fan, service access without removing the control panel cover, coil guard inlet grille with a durable resin mesh, slant-top discharge and is UV resistant. Circle no. 324 Whole-house ventilators These compact SHR Series HRVs/ERVs from Fantech feature washable electrostatic filters, a three-position external rocker switch for continuous ventilation, preset 5-minute defrost, EBM motors with 7- year parts warranty, airflow balancing with ‘True’ motor adjustment and an electronic control board with several control upgrade options. Fantech Circle no. 325 Chiller controller The SC6 chiller controller from Berg is a sixth generation technology. It provides maximum information about the refrigeration system while requiring a minimum of input, a touch-screen display gives the operator detailed information about temperatures, compressor status and alarms and other features. Ontor Ltd. Circle no. 328 Aluminum HVAC frames A new company, Arosio, will introduce structural aluminum framing to the HVAC industry at CMX. Extruded aluminum profiles connect to aluminum corner joints to create a solid, rigid frame with no welding needed. Circle no. 329 Whole-house HEPA Two duct mount HEPA filters for the whole house feature two-speed fans: 150 - 235 cfm at 100 Watts and 200 - 375 cfm at 230 Watts. There is a two-inch pleated pre-filter with carbon, 61 sq.ft. of surface area of true HEPA media. It weighs 40 lbs. and mounts on the return air duct. See it at CMX. Enerzone Inc. Circle no. 330 Ceiling exhausters UQS Series exhausters feature a ‘Millenia’ low profile grill, universal casing for inline configuration or multi room connections, inter-changeable blower assembly, seven capacities from 30-300 cfm, static range of 0-0.6 inches and low Sone levels. The five blower assemblies offer twospeed operation with a continuous low speed that may eliminate odour, mold and mildew problems. See it at CMX. Magnavent Inc. Circle no. 331 Vapour retarder MemBrain is a unique vapour retarder that breathes and allows excess moisture to escape from wall cavities, replacing polyethylene. It features a polyamide nylon-based film that changes permeability (altering its pore size) from less than one perm at low humidity to greater than 20 perms at high relative humidity. Circle no. 332 Ductless mini-splits Hyundai ductless mini-split air conditioners and heat pumps come in 12 single and dual zone wall-mounted cooling capacities from 9,200 to 24,000 Btu/hr and new floor models to 30,000 Btu/hr with low ambient kit. They feature three-step bio-filters, three-speed operation, auto restart, flip style remote controller, ventilation only, self-diagnosis. See them at the EMCO booth at CMX. DevelCORP Enterprise Circle no. 333 Media air cleaner The F100 air cleaner is a whole-house system that works with all gas, oil and electric forced warm air furnaces and air handlers. It can be mounted in any position, is 83% efficient in trapping particles of 10 microns or more, comes in six sizes and has an optional AirWatch performance indicator that tells when to change the filter. Honeywell Ltd. Circle no. 334 Adjustable airflow The Adjustable Airflow Device is a first in-duct system for regulating fabric duct airflow and static pressure with a polyester mesh cone. There is a factory set or field adjustable hemmed drawstring aperture for air balancing fabric air dispersion models. It connects by zipping a six to 72 inch diameter collar between duct lengths. DuctSox. Circle no. 335 IAQ monitor The AirAdvice IAQ System is a complete IAQ diagnostic and monitoring solution. It measures fine particulates, CO, CO2, relative humidity and temperature simultaneously. It supports multiple monitors, automatic remote data collection and forwards via a builtin modem to its web site where reports and other data can be viewed. Evolution Air Circle no. 336 12 SEER efficiency This horseshoe-style package PAPC air conditioner from ICP features 12 SEER efficiency. Features include scroll compressors, pre-painted condenser coil and base pan (with water dam), round duct flanges and external gauge ports. A breakerstyle electric heater allows the installation of a unit circuit breaker with external access, slip-in electric heat of 5-20 kW. It is available in 2-4 ton sizes.
