As a lead blocker,he helped the Chargers regain some swagger onoffense as the Bolts rushed for more than 1,800 yards and16 touchdowns each of the last two seasons. Though heisn’t called upon to carry the ball very often, Hesterenjoyed one of his finest moments for the Chargers duringtheir 2011 game at Denver when the team lost its top tworushers to injury. Hester was the only other active back onthe roster and he rushed for a career-high 47 tough yardsin helping the Chargers escape the Mile High City with a29-24 win. Hester became an unrestricted free agent afterthe 2011 season and signed a one-year deal in April toremain with the Bolts.Hester and his wife, Katie, have two sons,Jackson and Knox. Hester is a huge sportsfan. His favorite team is the Atlanta Braves.He’s also a huge soccer fan for both the LosAngeles Galaxy and the U.S. National Team.Star player Landon Donovan, is a close personalfriend.Hester also supports his alma mater,Louisiana State, and watches the Tigersplay whenever he can.
