Hehad to miss a game in 2011 with a hamstring strain and itwas only the second one that he’s missed since 2002. Theother missed game was in 2007. Jammer, 33, is still one ofthe top defenders in the game and one of its surest tacklers.He boasts career totals of 670 tackles, including 568 unassisted,18 interceptions and 121 passes defensed.Jammer is one of the <strong>Chargers</strong>’ most giving communitysupporters. The Jammer Family Foundation enjoys a partnershipwith San Pasqual Academy, a first-of-its-kind residentialeducation campus for foster teens. Last year, heand teammate Philip Rivers led a drive for the school togenerate the necessary funding to build a brand-new footballstadium on campus and he and Rivers were featuredon ABC’s Good Morning America for their work with theAcademy. Jammer’s Foundation hosts an annual ThanksgivingDinner for students and he regularly invites playersfrom the Academy’s football team to be his guests at<strong>Chargers</strong> games and practices.
