Chapter 7Conclusion7.1 Review of the research7.1.1 The objectives of the studyThe primary objective of the study was to identify the relationships betweenPsalms 3-8 so as to determine how the final redactors compiled this corpus ofpsalms. I divided this primary objective into three logically subordinateobjectives which, if achieved, would lead naturally to the accomplishment ofthe primary objective. The three subordinate objectives were as follows.a) The research sought to identify all links between Psalms 3-8 whichmight have accounted for (or at least contributed to) the editors’decision to arrange them in the canonical order.302
