When the latter were discontinuedin 2010 the other levies and charges were replaced from 1 July2011 with a single levy of $3.00 per bowling member. As from1 July <strong>2012</strong> this levy will be increased to $5.00 per member.When, in 2011, the <strong>R<strong>NSW</strong>BA</strong> removed the practice of Zoneshosting the State finals of a Pennant Grade on a rotationalbasis, this Zone lost the opportunity of receiving sponsorshipfor such occasions. In addition to changing the practice, the<strong>R<strong>NSW</strong>BA</strong> also sought open expressions of interest from clubsthroughout the State wishing to be considered as hosts.Successful hosting clubs were expected to contribute $5,000to the <strong>R<strong>NSW</strong>BA</strong>, an amount similar to that previously receivedby the Zone. The overallmargin, in favour of Zone 8, total 295 rinks won 12 with plus80, Group 6 total 222 with rinks won 6, with minus 63. TheZone 8 Officials Team went down to Group 6, total 37, plus 12to Zone 8 total 25, minus 12.The Four Rivers / Four Creeks annual tournament was playedin October at Cowra BC this year. The Zone 8 side won againstZone 5, 166-101, lost to Zone 7, 108-129, and to the ACT 82-138. In the 4 Creeks, Zone 8 lost to Zone 7 20-32, to Zone 5,19-28, but won against the ACT 27-16. The overall winners ofthe tournament were Zone 5.The Bing Wallder Shield held at Narrandera BC was won bythe Southern Slopes District with 5 wins from 5 games,runners-up being the Riverina District.
