Berahmandpour, Sh, EkhteraeeSummary:Electrical losses in power transmission network were discussed in this project. Maincomponents of transmission line losses are: joule loss, corona loss and leakage loss,which they were analyzed in this project; we studied about “ when they are created, howthey cause power loss, by which factors they are affected and how we can reduce theireffects”. Thus, we have studied Mazandaran transmission lines from the viewpoint ofeach line loss component and calculated energy loss due to each component.Furthermore, we suggested a model for Mazandaran transmission line losses. The modelwhich is a function of line current and voltage, has been made of three simplifiedmodels that simulate loss components. This model has acceptable accuracy to evaluatetransmission line loss.In addition, we investigated loss reduction methods in Mazandaran network.10
