EmamiSummary:Since 1950 Hydrazine has been the most popular chemical for removal of residualoxygen from boiler feed water. Hydrazine has the particular advantage that itsbreakdown products are volatile and therefore do not contribute to TDS in the boiler.But the rate of Hydrazine reaction with dissolved oxygen in the low pressure feedsystem is slow and toxic. The main purpose of this project is the determination of nontoxicchemicals for substitution of Hydrazine in power plants steam cycle.
