Event and Alarm WindowThe Event and Alarm window is the primary window for the display and acknowledgement of real time event andalarm information.Each window is shown as a separate tab:• All Events• All Alarms• Acknowledged AlarmsYou can create your own custom event windows (see page 21) and define which event windows are displayed(see page 25).Creating a Custom Event WindowTo add a custom event window1. Select the Custom Event Windows button from the Reports tab then click Add.-or-Right click in the event window and select New Event Window...2. This opens the Event Display (New Record) window.3. Enter the display properties and click OK.<strong>Protege</strong> Status BarThe Status Bar is located at the bottom of the <strong>Protege</strong> application window. It indicates communication status,alarm status and the user name of the current operator that is logged in.The status light is red when there is no active connection to a controller. Likewise, when there is an activeconnection to a controller, the status light is green.<strong>Protege</strong> Quick Link ButtonThe Quick Link button appears throughout the <strong>Protege</strong> <strong>System</strong> <strong>Management</strong> <strong>Suite</strong> interface and in many placesis located near an object (such as a text box or list box) to assist in adding and modifying the current datacontained in that object.
