Emphasisis placed on direct, top-dyed processes that utilizeboth synthetic and natural dyes, and techniquessuch as batiking, stenciling, and stamping. Uponcompletion, students should be able to demonstratea basic understanding of appropriate materialsand techniques as they apply to original design ona variety of textile surfaces.
