Course DescriptionsCourse Descriptionsdevelopment, from conception through approximately36 months. Uponcompletion, students should be able to demonstrateknowledge of health, safety, and nutritional needs,safe learning environments, and adhere to stateregulations. Topics includehistorical and philosophical foundations of education,contemporary educational, structural, legal,and financial issues, and experiences in publicschool classrooms. Upon completion, studentsshould be able to relate classroom observationsto the roles of teachers and schools and the processof teacher education. This course has beenapproved to satisfy the Comprehensive ArticulationAgreement for transferability as a premajor and/orelective course requirement at select institutionsonly.
