For lowerincome communities, meetings in their area were alsonoted as a preferred communication channel. 9511.6 PREFERRED PARTNERSSurvey respondents were asked to indicate potentialpartners for the Department of Sport and <strong>Recreation</strong>.These suggestions are included in the district reports, aswell as district preferences for communication channels.As can be seen in the graph on the next page, preferencesfor communication about recreational programmes andfacilities differ from how residents prefer to receive otherinformation from the municipality (according to theCommunity Satisfaction Survey). The top five preferredmethods of communication are:1. Street posters or billboards;2. Radio programmes;3. Word of mouth;4. Television programmes;5.
