(iii)(iv)(v)not less than fifty hours cross-country flight time as Pilot-in-Command including a cross-country flight <strong>of</strong> not less than threehundred nautical miles in the course <strong>of</strong> which full stop landingsat two different aerodromes shall be made;not less than fifty hours <strong>of</strong> instrument time <strong>of</strong> which not morethan twenty hours may be on an approved simulator, out <strong>of</strong> whichminimum <strong>of</strong> five hours <strong>of</strong> instrument time shall have beencompleted within a period <strong>of</strong> six months immediately precedingthe date <strong>of</strong> application for the Instrument Rating; andnot less tha five hours time by night including a minimum <strong>of</strong> tentake <strong>of</strong>fs and ten landings as Pilot-in-Command (as solemanipulator <strong>of</strong> controls) carried out within six monthsimmediately preceding the date <strong>of</strong> application for licence:Provided that in case <strong>of</strong> an applicant who is in Possession <strong>of</strong> aCommercial Pilot’s Licence (Helicopters) and who has satisfactorily completednot less than one thousand hours <strong>of</strong> flight time as Pilot-in-Command <strong>of</strong> ahelicopter, the above experience requirement <strong>of</strong> two hundred hours as pilot <strong>of</strong> anairplane shall be reduced to hundred hours.Note- The student-pilot-in- command flight time shall not be logged byinstructor in his own log book. Student log book shall indicate student pilot-incommandflight time in remarks column as SPIC with the name <strong>of</strong> the instructor.(f) Flying Training – He shall have completed the flying training in accordancewith the syllabus prescribed by the Director-General.(g) Other Requirements – He shall be in possession <strong>of</strong> a current Flight RadioTelephone Operator’s Licence for operation <strong>of</strong> radio telephone apparatus onboard an aircraft Issued by the Director-General.(h) Skill – He shall have demonstrated his competency to perform theprocedures and manoeuvres prescribed in the syllabus to the satisfaction <strong>of</strong>an examiner, on the type <strong>of</strong> aeroplane to which the application for licencerelates, within a period <strong>of</strong> six months immediately preceding the date <strong>of</strong>application. The competency shall be demonstrated in –(i)(ii)(iii)general flying test by day;general flying test by night;a cross-country flight test by day consisting <strong>of</strong> a flight <strong>of</strong> not lessthan two hundred fifty nautical miles in the course <strong>of</strong> which atleast one full stop landing at an aerodrome other than theaerodrome <strong>of</strong> departure shall be made;
