ZNF217 is considered a strong candidate oncogenethat may have profound effects on cancer progression, whichis transcribed in multiple normal tissues, and overexpressed inalmost all cell lines and tumors in which it is amplified.The ZNF217 (20q13) specific DNA probe is optimized to detectcopy numbers of 20q at 20q13.
